NEW! Hero’s Tour

NEW! Hero’s Tour
2 sessions, 11 hours

Let’s pay tribute to America’s true heroes: the men and women who have served in our local and national law enforcement agencies and those who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. We will visit some of the lesser-known memorials in Washington – the Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, the Navy and Air Force Memorials, the National Guard Memorial/ Museum and the new American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. We’ll make a stop at Union Station for lunch, where there are quick casual restaurants and a full food court. The cost of lunch is not included in the tour. Your tour includes an optional 2-hour pre-tour class one week prior to the tour to learn about the history of these memorials and the process of getting memorials approved and funded.

Notes: No refunds after close of business 5/10. The cost of lunch is not included in the tour. Wear comfortable shoes as this tour does involve some walking; if you have mobility issues please contact our Registration Office to inquire about special accommodations.

Instructor: Marsha Adelson is a retired Federal Employee who has spent the last 10+ years as a Licensed Professional Tour Guide in Washington, DC. She has over 20 years of experience teaching first aid, music and leadership skills as a volunteer for various organizations. She has lived in the Washington Metropolitan Area her whole life and enjoys sharing the beauty, history and uniqueness of our Nation’s Capital with others through tours and lectures.
