NEW! Art Timeline
5 sessions, 10 hours
From the early beginnings of ancient cave paintings to Greek and Roman Vases and structures, to Egyptian cartouche designs; you will not only enjoy learning about art history but you will be creating some of your own! A selection of time periods will be represented as you draw, paint or design projects that portray these time periods and cultures. Medieval art, Celtic art, and art of Spain, France, and other time periods and regions will be included. The class wraps up with American and Modern art. Students will take home a portfolio that reflects historical examples of art. No fine art skills required!
Instructor: Jeanne McDermott has a Master’s Degree in Art Education from the College of Notre Dame of Md. and worked over 7 years as a floral designer for Radebaugh’s in Towson, Md. She has over 10 years teaching experience for FCPS.
