History Bites Lunchtime Series

Join Matthew Borders, Park Ranger and Certified Battlefield Guide, for an engaging one-hour lunchtime presentation followed by opportunity for questions and discussions. Be sure to bring your lunch with you to enjoy during the presentation(s). Each one includes time for questions and discussions.

Instructor: Matthew Borders
Matthew Borders has a bachelor’s degree in United States History and a master’s in Historic Preservation with a focus in Battlefield Interpretation. He was a seasonal ranger for the National Park Service at Antietam National Battlefield and a historian with the National Park Service’s American Battlefield Protection Program. He then became involved with the Frederick County Civil War Round Table. He continues to work with Antietam National Battlefield as a volunteer and Certified Battlefield Guide, as well as a Certified Guide for Harpers Ferry National Historical Site. Currently Matthew is a Park Ranger at Monocacy National Battlefield in Frederick.
