Capitol Hill Highlights – New!

Our day on Capitol Hill, one of the most storied and visited sites in Washington D.C., begins with a docent lead tour of the U.S. Capitol Building to see the Crypt, Rotunda, and National Statuary Hall. Next we will head to the Library of Congress for a guided walking tour of the historic Thomas Jefferson Building to marvel at symbolic art and architecture before a self-guided tour of the Botanical Gardens to view living treasures of the world. Lunch will be on your own at the U.S. Capitol Cafeteria.
• Trip will depart from FCC campus (exact campus meeting place will be provided to participants one week prior to the trip date.)
• Be sure to wear comfortable shoes as the day includes moderate walking and standing.
• The tour does not include visiting the Senate and House Galleries.
• Refunds are not available after close of business on October 15.
Instructor: Marsha Adelson is a retired Federal Employee with more than 10 years’s experience as a Licensed Professional Tour Guide in Washington, D.C. As a volunteer for a variety of organizations, she has more than 20 years’ experience teaching first aid, music and leadership skills. Marsha has lived in the Washington Metropolitan Area her whole life and enjoys sharing the beauty, history and uniqueness of our Nation’s Capital with others through tours and lectures.
