Buying, Selling, and Consigning Antiques and Collectibles
4 sessions, 10 hours
During this intro “hands-on” course, students will gain knowledge about buying and selling antiques and collectibles. They will receive handouts, resources, research tools, on-line sites, and strategies. In addition during the 2nd and 3rd classes, there will be “show and tell” times to share personal collections for sale or enhancement. During the last class, students will visit local antiques stores. During these store visits, students will learn how to buy items for the “best” price, evaluate the quality of items, and understand needed strategies for the buying and selling process.
