Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology

Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology:
The National Geographic Museum Special Exhibit – with Peg Mauzy

Special 2 Hour Class, Plus One Day Trip…

The “Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology Exhibit” at the National Geographic Museum in Washington, D. C. features an exclusive collection of original Indiana Jones Movie props, models, art, and costumes from the four films. The contents of this time-limited exhibit are provided by the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art (Lucasfilm Ltd.), National Geographic Museum archives, and renowned University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology.

In a two hour classroom session a week before the trip, Peg will explore the archeological information from the film and discuss its impact on the field of archaeology.

The class will also examine the four Indiana Jones Movies, identify archaeological and movie resources, discuss actor Harrison Ford (Peg’s son has spent time with Mr. Ford) and help you prepare to maximize your visit to the museum. Lunch will be on your own in any of the restaurants near the museum. Come have fun while learning with Indy!
